The film also explores her family dynamic, particularly her relationship with her supportive yet controlling father and the conflicts in love she faces throughout her journey.
The film secured significant box office earnings, critical acclaim, and a Golden Globe Best Actress nomination for J-Lo. In 2021, the film was also chosen for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress for being culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant.

It also focuses on her physical and emotional struggles during her artistic journey, her tumultuous relationship with fellow artist Diego Rivera, and her involvement with political figures.
Like the others in this list, this film too secured significant box office earnings, critical acclaim, and six nominations at the 75th Academy Awards, winning for Best Makeup and Best Original Score. Salma’s performance led to her being nominated for Best Actress at the Golden Globes, the Oscars, the SAG Awards, and the Baftas.
